1. Introduction
Walsall Awards is committed to the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chains. This statement is made in line with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in any form.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
2. Our organisation
Walsall Awards is the organiser of the inaugural Walsall Awards 2026 and related activities including the InWalsall Magazine, taking place at Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, Walsall FC on Saturday 21 November 2026.

3. Our supply chains
Our supply chains include a small number of UK-based suppliers and partners providing event services such as venue hire, hospitality, audio-visual production, photography, printing and digital services. We take reasonable steps to ensure these suppliers operate within UK law and uphold ethical labour standards.
4. Our policies
We will not knowingly engage with any individual or organisation that:
- Engages in modern slavery, forced labour or human trafficking
- Permits children below the legal working age to be employed in their operations
- Withholds workers’ identity documents or restricts freedom of movement
- Pays below the relevant statutory minimum wage
We expect all suppliers, contractors and partners to share our commitment and act accordingly.
5. Due diligence
We take steps to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains
- Use UK-based suppliers wherever practicable
- Include modern slavery considerations as part of supplier onboarding for higher-risk categories
- Encourage the reporting of concerns and protect those who raise them
6. Reporting concerns
Anyone with concerns relating to modern slavery in connection with Walsall Awards or our supply chains is encouraged to contact us in confidence at info@walsallawards.co.uk.

7. Review
This statement is reviewed annually and updated as required. It is approved by the board of trustees of Walsall Awards.
